When the sun with its spacious light is folded up; When the stars fall, losing their lustre; When the mountains vanish like a mirage; When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; When the wild beasts are herded together in the human habitations; When the oceans boil over with a swell; When the souls are sorted out, being joined, like with like; When the female infant, buried alive, is questioned - For what crime she was killed; When the scrolls are laid open; When the world on High is unveiled; When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; And when the Garden is brought near;- Then shall each soul know what it has put forward. So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, Go straight, or hide; And the Night as it dissipates; And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, With authority there, and faithful to his trust. And O people! your companion is not one possessed; And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. When whither go ye? Translation in other languages بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ 1. إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ2. وَإِذَا النُّجُومُ انْكَدَرَتْ3. وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ4. وَإِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ5. وَإِذَا الْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ6. وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ7. وَإِذَا النُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ8. وَإِذَا الْمَوْءُودَةُ سُئِلَتْ9. بِأَيِّ ذَنْبٍ قُتِلَتْ10. وَإِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ11. وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ كُشِطَتْ12. وَإِذَا الْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ13. وَإِذَا الْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ14. عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا أَحْضَرَتْ15. فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ16. الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ17. وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ18. وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ19. إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ20. ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِنْدَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ21. مُطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ22. وَمَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُونٍ23. وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ بِالْأُفُقِ الْمُبِينِ24. وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ25. وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَانٍ رَجِيمٍ26. فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ27. إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ28. لِمَنْ شَاءَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَقِيمَ29. وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ Audio English Your browser does not support the audio element. Kuwwirat is passive voice from takvir in the past tense, and means "that which is folded up", thereby implying that it is a Surah in which the "folding up" has been mentionedPeriod of RevelationThe subject matter and the style clearly show that it is one of the earliest Surahs to be revealed at and Subject MatterIt has two themes the Hereafter and the institution of the first six verses the first stage of the Resurrection has been mentioned when the sun will lose its light, the stars will scatter, the mountains will be uprooted and will disperse, the people will become heedless of their dearest possessions, the beasts of the jungle will be stupefied and will gather together, and the seas will boil up. Then in the next seven verses the second stage has been described when the souls will be reunited with the bodies, the records will be laid open, the people will be called to account for their crimes, the heavens will be unveiled, and Hell and Heaven will be brought into full view. After depicting the Hereafter thus, man has been left to ponder his own self and deeds, saying "Then each man shall himself know what he has brought with him."After this the theme of Prophethood has been taken up. In this the people of Makkah have been addressed, as if to say "Whatever Muhammad upon whom be Allah's peace and blessings is presenting before you, is not the bragging of a madman, nor an evil suggestion inspired by Satan, but the word of a noble, exalted and trustworthy messenger sent by God, whom Muhammad upon whom be Allah's peace and blessings has seen with his own eyes in the bright horizon of the clear sky in broad day light. Whither then are you going having turned away from this teaching?" 81. QS. At-Takwir Menggulung 29 ayat بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ اِذَا الشَّمۡسُ كُوِّرَتۡ Izash shamsu kuwwirat 1. Apabila matahari digulung, وَاِذَا النُّجُوۡمُ انْكَدَرَتۡ Wa izan nujuumun kadarat 2. dan apabila bintang-bintang berjatuhan, وَاِذَا الۡجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتۡ Wa izal jibaalu suyyirat 3. dan apabila gunung-gunung dihancurkan, وَاِذَا الۡعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتۡ Wa izal 'ishaaru 'uttilat 4. dan apabila unta-unta yang bunting ditinggalkan tidak terurus, وَاِذَا الۡوُحُوۡشُ حُشِرَتۡ Wa izal wuhuushu hushirat 5. dan apabila binatang-binatang liar dikumpulkan, وَاِذَا الۡبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتۡ Wa izal bihaaru sujjirat 6. dan apabila lautan dipanaskan, وَاِذَا النُّفُوۡسُ زُوِّجَتۡ Wa izan nufuusu zuwwijat 7. dan apabila roh-roh dipertemukan dengan tubuh, وَاِذَا الۡمَوۡءٗدَةُ سُٮِٕلَتۡ Wa izal maw'uudatu su'ilat 8. dan apabila bayi-bayi perempuan yang dikubur hidup-hidup ditanya, بِاَىِّ ذَنۡۢبٍ قُتِلَتۡ‌ۚ Bi ayyi zambin qutilat 9. karena dosa apa dia dibunuh? وَاِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتۡ Wa izas suhufu nushirat 10. Dan apabila lembaran-lembaran catatan amal telah dibuka lebar-lebar, وَاِذَا السَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتۡ Wa izas samaaa'u kushitat 11. dan apabila langit dilenyapkan, وَاِذَا الۡجَحِيۡمُ سُعِّرَتۡ Wa izal jahiimu su'-'irat 12. dan apabila neraka Jahim dinyalakan, وَاِذَا الۡجَـنَّةُ اُزۡلِفَتۡ Wa izal jannatu uzlifat 13. dan apabila surga didekatkan, عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٌ مَّاۤ اَحۡضَرَتۡؕ 'Alimat nafsum maaa ahdarat 14. setiap jiwa akan mengetahui apa yang telah dikerjakannya. فَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِالۡخُنَّسِ Falaaa uqsimu bil khunnas 15. Aku bersumpah demi bintang-bintang, الۡجَوَارِ الۡكُنَّسِ Al jawaaril kunnas 16. yang beredar dan terbenam, وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا عَسۡعَسَ Wallaili izaa 'as'as 17. demi malam apabila telah larut, وَالصُّبۡحِ اِذَا تَنَفَّسَ Wassubhi izaa tanaffas 18. dan demi subuh apabila fajar telah menyingsing, اِنَّهٗ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُوۡلٍ كَرِيۡمٍ Innahuu laqawlu rasuulin kariim 19. sesungguhnya Al-Qur'an itu benar-benar firman Allah yang dibawa oleh utusan yang mulia Jibril, ذِىۡ قُوَّةٍ عِنۡدَ ذِى الۡعَرۡشِ مَكِيۡنٍ Zii quwwatin 'inda zil 'arshi makiin 20. yang memiliki kekuatan, memiliki kedudukan tinggi di sisi Allah yang memiliki Arsy,
